Rosenwald Schools

The first school I photographed was in Cadentown, Kentucky. I had no clue what it was. I then photographed a school in Uttingertown and that was when I learned about Rosenwald Schools in 2002. Shortly afterwards it was torn down. Thankfully the Cadentown school was saved and has been restored. One day I knocked on the door of a church as I heard someone vacuuming inside. He came out and showed me around. When I asked what the building was behind the church he said, " That was a school once, someone from Sears built it." I knew I was on the right track.
